I do really like meeting new families and helping them find the right college. It's a good way to meet other students, since there are so many ambassadors. It's considered "prestigious" and looks good on resumes.

Cons

Have to work many weekends Your shifts can be canceled often which means less hours Have to work in bad weather Could be more diverse- in management and employees Disorganized, communication could be better Pay is extremely low considering how much money we bring into the university by giving tours...

Tons of corporate politics/gossip, management will prevent you from moving to other roles for their benefit even if you qualify and the hiring manager intended to hire you. One of the lowest paying universities despite how "wealthy" their brand is. You will be servicing a majority of entitled students & their families so prepare to be emotionally drained. If you care to actually fix problems and make a real impact, this place is not for you. Everyone is just a hamster running on wheel thats going no where. Prejudice & Micro aggressions run rampant here.
