As a current employee of HG, I can't begin to describe how terrible my coworkers are. Yes, it is a start-up which in the business world sounds pretty cool. But we're constantly on the brink of failure. My team constantly puts all of our faith in the hands of a terrible leader - our CEO. Our CEO is the most arrogant man I've ever met. He guided me "foolishly" away from a good job only to slowly go down in a sinking ship with Higher Ground. He thinks he's the most educated man on Montessori education, but really all he does is talk about how objectivism is the greatest. Please do your research on objectivism. This company will do its best to sway you into their cult.
Because I'm one of the founding members of HG, our policy is to debunk these type of reviews as quickly as possible. It won't be surprising to receive a response saying that future employees should do their research and ask questions. It won't be surprising to hear their response by saying all their current members are happy - but I AM NOT! I'm collecting my salary until the money runs dry, which is any week.
So I urge you to do research. Research objectivism and how it relates to Higher Ground. And ask questions. Ask where our funding is coming from, and how much time we have until it runs out. I'm already trying to find a new job.
Bottomline is this, do your research but do NOT work here. It is really terrible.
