Pros
Working for Higher Ground has been the happiest time in my career. I have never worked with a more talented, intelligent, ambitious group of people, and I have never felt that my work was more impactful than it is here. This group is out to change the world, and I think they are going to do it. They are tackling profound challenges and entrenched norms in the education industry, but they have the expertise and the thoughtfulness to actually solve those problems in a substantive way. It's different from anything else in the education world, with a focus on substantive pedagogy, and yet an incredibly modern and technology-enabled strategy. Truly refreshing.
Cons
Start-up culture is fast-paced and high-stress. But for those who want that type of challenge, there's no more rewarding place to do good work, and no team better to do it with.
