Pros

Amazing opportunities for growth (yes you are required to work hard, no its not driven by your "connections"). Long term vision is exciting and senior level management is very passionate about the future. A lot of autonomy is given, assuming you have proven your skill set is solid. Very little micromanagement overall.

Cons

Bench strength is non existent for some disciplines this is due to high rate of growth. We need to hire people into junior roles so we can grow them and create our own bench. Some areas are micromanaged even though it no longer makes any sense to do so. Allow hotels to make rate increase decisions as they see fit by following standards; this should not require numerous back and forth on several levels. Give full reign to GMs and property teams to decide when , how and who should be compensated. Unfortunately if you are top talent your comp will suffer and it will be hard to increase it (10k increase is your future if you grow within) - yes you will be recognized through projects and positive feedback, but lets be honest talent should not have to leave and then return just to get the $$$.

Pros

Great Pay Select Few Well Intentioned VP's and Regionals.

Cons

Overstepping and Mixed Messaging from VP's and Leadership Management Bullying is very mainstream and Accepted No Recognition or Open talk about positive Changes to department. There's a Constant overall feeling of being on the chopping block. Absolutely no life/family/career balance, you will get calls at all hours of the night/weekends. Too many PEOPLE ARE INVOLVED IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE JOB. REPORTS. REPORTS. REPORTS. Forget trying to sell.
