Pros

Team work driven, hybrid work options, great benefits and perks, Team Member Resource Groups (TMRG) for multitudes of inclusive segments of the company (e.g., PRIDE, Abilities, API, etc). Direct report managers are great.

Cons

Anyone above people manager acts as if you don’t exist and your mental/physical health is irrelevant. Extreme workload levels with little to no understanding from leadership—deadlines, etc are always priority. Growth/promotions are politically based not by performance or experience. Most the HR recruiting team, including one I interviewed with blatantly have no desire to enhance diversity. Many “awards” they’ve been granted for “Best Place to Work” are paid programs for a ranking. Low pay compared to other brands and management companies. I get paid double with half the portfolio now.

Pros

I work at Ballpark Hilton in St. Louis, MO temporarily during the Summer. The employees are great and fun. I meet fun guests.

Cons

As a career, hourly pay would be too low.
