Pros

Off on Sundays. That will never change. Glad to know that! Good starting base rate for retail work. 38+ hours per week.

Cons

Schedule.....your schedule can change at anytime for no apparent reason. If you're closing, you could be out of work in 1 hour or up to 3 hours after the store has closed. Truck day can be a nightmare since most stores have to put their freight out within 24 hours of receiving it. Most people in my store work up to 14 hours on truck day and then have two shorter shifts later in the week. That can be downright annoying. Job Tasks - I've been with the company for almost 9 years and I'm still doing jobs as a 20something that i was doing as a sophomore in high school. You might move a bunch of merchandise from one side of the store to the other one day and then move it right back to where you moved it from all because a change of opinion from upper management. I know that working during the holidays is just part of the "retail life", but working until 1am in the morning and then having to be back at work at 7am is not even close to being ok. But that doesn't matter at Hobby Lobby during the Christmas season.
