Assistant managers are used as scapegoats. Goodluck if you order items as well. You will fill the shelves with the required “basic” and then get tested on it randomly during the month. If the slot happens to be full the entire week and a customer decides to buy everything off the peg right before the test, you get blamed. Their system is extremely flawed. Being respectful and loyal will not help you in the long run. Being aggressive and assertive is the way to go. If that’s not you, move on.
