Pros
If you get hired on as a full official employee (not seasonal) then you are promised to receive $15+/hr and full benefits. The customers are fun to interact with. Getting to know the inventory is great and gets you more involved with the crafting world. At the la mesa store, I really enjoyed working with most of my co-workers. The Assistant Manager (Amanda) was super awesome and not only listened to employee needs, but acted on those needs in whatever way she could, and she was always so positive and smiling.
Cons
If you can only work a specific schedule, then this is not the place for you. Often I was scheduled to close even though I specified that I had young children, and once went a week without seeing them because I had to close every night, even though this company claims to be "family oriented". If there are a lot of employees then management might confuse you with a different co-worker, which isn't good when it comes to people calling out, missing days, or mis-punching on the time clock.
