Pros
I was allowed to skip training which at first was a pro but then I felt ill-prepared for the job. You get a small discount on all of their made in china products. Woopee!
Cons
Management staff cursed at me loudly and in front of coworkers for taking a mandated and approved 10 minute break. I also overheard the same manager brag about taking a lady's debit card that was giving an error code at the register. It was a holiday weekend so banks couldn't be reached. She happened to be a bank employee. The manager thought it was hilarious that he kept her card rendering her unable to complete the rest of her errands. Turns out the card error was the fault of Hobby Lobby and not the lady's lack of funds. Also, if you work register, everything must be entered manually leaving much room for error. Lines are also long because of this outdated register setup.
