Pros

Decent pay for part time stockman (starts at 10.00, currently at 10.16). Great co-workers and overall environment. Not a large learning curve.

Cons

This may be specific to my location (in fact I'm pretty sure it is based on what I know of other stockman at other stores), but the stockman are overworked and made to pick up the slack of the department heads. Truck days are surprisingly long. Inventory system is outdated. There is no barcodes to scan, cashiers must manually enter the skew numbers, department, and sale of the items being purchased. This can lead to slow checkout times if the cashiers aren't particularly fast, especially during seasonal time.

Pros

The pay is good for the job that it is. Management is very flexible with scheduling.

Cons

The only holidays you don't work are Christmas and Thanksgiving. Very stressful fast paced most of the time, physical labor. Poor work life balance with the ever changing schedules.
