Pros

The front sales tours are all IHG members giving you as a sales rep one obstacle down, the clients all believe in Holiday Inns Name.

Cons

Within 5 days of going on sales floor I had to take a drug test I passed. Then, I started selling at a 50% close rate, and all reps began to lie about me. My director told me to stop selling so much. I was mocked by managers, director, and reps for I have multiple sclerosis. Made fun of my slight limp. I had 8 ride along with my director and manager and passed, but never did the trainer ride with me or give me a sales tablet like everyone else. I was constantly ridiculed by other reps despite never having 1 closing blow up or a customer complain about me. My director constantly got in my face almost making fun of the fact I would come to work tired due to my ms. I caught him laughing about me to other reps. Finally, my wife got cancer and I literally told my director I was having a nervous breakdown. I passed another ride along, and then they shopped me despite other reps not even able to remember 1/3 of the script. I remember the lady that shopped me and it was a complete lie!!! They skipped 1/3 of the meeting and then used words I never say like dude or big ones. Reason I say this, is th director who hated me is from California where these words are used!!!! I caught him 2 days before I got shopped telling a manager I am going to find something on him. Long story short, I got terminated, and he laughed over the phone call when I found out, and said he didn't care if I had a nervous breakdown or my wife is extremely ill with cancer. They owed me $18,000 and even tried to pull out my previous check from my bank account. I never had one complaint and he said I will NEVER get the money I am owed and the rude HR woman said maybe in 6 months. You decide if you wanna work here, the LABOR department has told me and my witnesses I have a case.

The resort across the street was nice

The only thing good about this place was the training. This place needs a lot of help. Best pay plan on the beach but can't get enough reps? Can't keep enough reps. Overworked/burnt out employees. Lots of favoritism, racism, and narcissism going on at this place. Once you see it you can't unsee it. They only give certain tours to certain people. Management barely knows what they're doing, and will cost you deals just to try to sell bigger ones. Be prepared to wait in line for at least 20 minutes for a manager. they've got well qualified reps they refuse to promote. Short staffed and just overall feels like your set up for failure here from the start. Many employees afraid to speak on what they feel/ how they're treated bc of intimidation tactics by management.
