Pros

starbucks downstairs and medical experiance

Cons

HR isn't their for the employees they are there to protect themselves. I've been threatened, and bullied by a white girl who complains 24/7 about her job and hates multiple staff. I told HR that administration is ignoring the problem and me (a black female) gets put on unpaid leave for two weeks straight, so they can find something to fire me for... but failed because I never did anything wrong while working there. They will protect the wrong people... they do not care about their employees! All that "your voice matters" billboards is for show. If your white you will thrive there if your black, you will get bullied and ignored. Toxic work environment. Btw they will put covid positive people on the same units as covid negative people on the behavioral health floors... don't go there for psych care! They don't care about their patients they just care about the amount of money they get when filling up their available beds!

Pros

It's small enough to really get to know your coworkers which in turn enhances team work and moral. Employees like each other, and enjoy working together, Many have been there for 10+ years. It's the closest to "we're like a big family" being legit than any local hospital system in Western MA. The senior leadership is genuinely invested in supporting the staff, the organization, the community, and the patients. It's refreshing to have a senior leadership team that is approachable and responsive.

Cons

It's a small community hospital so funds are not as exuberant as some of the other health systems in MA and CT, but it's leadership is resourceful and transparent with how funds are utilized.
