Pros

Great community hospital where everyone gets to know you. People are friendly and willing to help each other. My boss is very supportive and I like the people I work with. The benefits are amazing, including the $7,000 annual tuition reimbursement for anyone looking to further their education (which I did!). Beyond that, they do a lot here to show appreciation... FREE COFFEE EVERY MONDAY! Free children's holiday party for all employee kids and grandchildren!! Free employee holiday party (with an open bar)!!! Free treats every Thursday in November. All these small things add up to a better work environment.

Cons

There have been difficult changes over the years, like anywhere, but looking at the big picture, I cannot complain. I really believe this is a good place to work.

It's small enough to really get to know your coworkers which in turn enhances team work and moral. Employees like each other, and enjoy working together, Many have been there for 10+ years. It's the closest to "we're like a big family" being legit than any local hospital system in Western MA. The senior leadership is genuinely invested in supporting the staff, the organization, the community, and the patients. It's refreshing to have a senior leadership team that is approachable and responsive.

Cons

It's a small community hospital so funds are not as exuberant as some of the other health systems in MA and CT, but it's leadership is resourceful and transparent with how funds are utilized.
