Pros

Professionally, it's a great business to develop and progress. I can see that already. Ethically I wanted a fit with a company and this certainly delivers. I was impressed to hear about schemes like gaining an extra 'charity' day to your holiday allocation, where you sacrifice your salary for a day, but the money goes to charity. I'm impressed by the company customer charter promises, where we absolutely do right by the customer, helping pensioners struggling with boiler problems, for example, makes you feel proud to part of something like that as well as supporting the Midland Langar Seva Society, providing food for the homeless. But joining a business like this is the closest I've found to working at TNT, where it's a close family, where the culture is around people development and 'home grown timber'.

Cons

It's grown quickly and there are a lot of people here. It's continually expanding and therefore a very busy place to work and continuously changing business to learn. I personally like that. Some may not. There needs to be the facility and culture for working from home when possible. When I've been here for a time I will see if that is supported, but I believe it is accepted and colleagues around me seem to work flexibly and professionally to get the job done.

Pros

Great exposure and a chance at a full time offer if you make the internship count.

Cons

Definitely a learning curve as with any company so you need to speak up and ask questions.
