Pros

Autonomy Gas mileage paid (beware you will drive lots of miles and sometimes to remote places an hour away in the dark) MD's/NP's are amazing, so unbelievably nice and knowledgable and always supportive to RN's in the field.

Cons

Constant negative feedback from admissions management. Nice to your face, but always criticizing what you could have done better. On call. They make you take call for patients plotted to go home from the hospital (they call it a facility to home) and you are expected to go out to their homes, and they can call you, up to 1130 pm at night. Had a few calls at 1125p+ It is mentally and emotionally exhausting. It accomplishes nothing but stress for patients and staff to send a hospice patient home that late. The schedulers are bloody awful too. Nice over the phone but no common sense. They send you across town and expect you to have a hospice conversation with patient and familia. Then expect you to do all the charting (which takes at least 2 hours, sometimes local fill medications from pharmacies) and be an hour away to another patient all in 4 hours this is supposed to be done. They do NOT care!

We are very busy and some times have many calls waiting. We perform many different tasks to help support the field teams.
