Pros
Houston ISD offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Of course all the "perks" of being a teacher, including the time off. You also receive a nice bank of sick days and vacation days on top of holidays.
Cons
It's probably just my school, but there is often no way for me to tell who to listen to because one administrator will say one thing and my appraiser will tell me to do another. There is constant bickering among the administration. Teachers and staff are not happy and no one feels like they can trust anyone.
