Pros

You will get an opportunity to work with some great school Principals, Teachers and Students.

Cons

With the new Superintendent and his cadre of administrators, the district is a joke! The new administrative structure is the same as the Regional Office structure except there are different titles. As with the Regional Office structure, the newly titled management team, find themselves entrenched in areas that should not concern them. They may want to be, but they are not experts in all educational areas. This makes for a lack of communication for all parties involved. and much ineffectiveness. New employees should be cautioned.

Pros

At an EAS school, there is more autonomy. It is not so microamnaged. Free Pre-k for your kids. Available bonus pay through PFP model.

Cons

Not much coaching happening at EAS schools (for a first year teacher that may be difficult). Not all elementary schools have Pre-k so your kid may not attend the school you work at. I am finding out my new salary on THE DAY I RETURN TO WORK. Crazy.
