      Pros

      Makes it clear that employees are valued and develops for promotion from within.

      Cons

      Houston Methodist has had a lot of growth in the last 10 years, and internal resources and infrastructure sometimes aren't equipped keep pace with senior leadership's vision for expansion. Also, if you're on the health plan, you're essentially forced to go to Houston Methodist physicians and facilities unless you want to pay a lot out of pocket.

      Great benefits, location, free parking & shuttle service. The salary is about what other organizations pay.

      Cons

      Certain things are department specific. Management need to work together. They ask for staff to be collaborative but don’t take our suggestions into consideration. Overall it’s a great organization to work for.
