Pros
Overall a great place to continue learning (when your work load permits) about science, beautiful campus, great short term opportunities, maybe not the best place to spend your whole career. Wonderful speakers come here, both scientific individuals and celebrities. Continuing education benefits as long as it syncs with your current job. Excellent entry level positions and some of the scientists really are interested in helping young scientists (especially post doc type) but there are also competitive opportunities for undergrads. Retirement benefits are still really good.
Cons
No (and I mean NO) career path. Some upper management people are quite proud of that for some reason. I was told no one working there would ever be paid more than 75% of the industry standard without a letter from leadership much higher up in rank. They ask a lot of their employees in terms of how much work they do for the pay they receive. Ive worked there for 8 years and have noticed a slow devaluation of their employees. Health benefits, pay raises and promotions and other nice amenities that were previously available are very slowly being chipped away.
