Pros
It was a great opportunity to work for such a prestigious university that has a great reputation and has a legacy of producing some many influential persons of color.
Cons
The culture has changed and is more competitive, cut throat and out right hostile and very toxic! Advancement is contingent upon you doing unethical things and going along with the status quo and existing archiac culture and usual way of doing things. If you speak out or try to offer innovative solutions it is frowned upon. Human Resources cannot be trusted. If you speak out against wrongdoing you are targeted and potentially fired. There continues to be a culture of hiring and promoting people who are incompetent and not qualified for their respective roles, as well as continued mismanagement of funds. The pay is horrible and you are expected to work long hours and weekends.
