Pros

If you approach your IT profession as an athletic event, Hudl is the perfect company. As a sports technology & media company, you get the best of both worlds. In the short time I've been here, I've learned so much about how video streaming technology works and all the components that make it happen. In addition, the service that Hudl provides to millions of high school students, college students, and much more makes an impact on many lives. Pros: Amazing technology that is always being innovated Freedom to try out new techniques and strategies Innovation days where you can focus on testing out and building software outside of normal sprint work Very team and goal oriented Super nice co-workers Unlimited PTO 3 year laptop refresh policy 5 year sabbatical vacation 2 weeks of the year off (1 in July and 1 in December)

Cons

Many different teams/squads so it's hard to have visibility on what other teams are working on or developing

Thank you for sharing about your experience working at Hudl. Hudl strives to truly help athletes all around the world and it’s great to hear that you value that too. It’s also great to hear that you have seen how much Hudl values its employees; the unlimited PTO and great company culture are hard to beat. As we continue to scale as a global company, we understand there will be growing pains that come with it, so thanks for sharing your feedback. Glad to have you on the team!

Pros

-Positive Business Outlook: Users love Hudl and it's a very forward-thinking product that has a great place in the future -Values-led culture/norms: People are at the heart of how we operate -Very talented overall workforce: Our bar on hiring is super high and performance management process works if there are clear underperformers. -People genuinely get along with each other for the moist part - far better than most organizations with huge silo walls.

Cons

-Decision-making bottleneck at exec-team level with some pretty hands on leaders in the weeds on too much. -Some teams are quite top-heavy, a poor micro-culture on the team, and have less accountability than they should (Finance/Accounting specifically) -We can settle on talent in key roles that is in a key hub where we have an office since less remote hiring is approved.
