Pros
HRs try their best to make the company culture better but I feel they are overworked which gives them no time to work on this side of things. Culture is important because you spend most of your work with people at work. And you want to be part of the growth and not just deliver your work within deadlines.
Cons
HRs try their best to change the company culture and environment but the management doesn't adapt to it. For me, the environment was very unfriendly and depressing. There is no space to make mistakes and learn from them, thereby grow. In my current workplace, I am respected for what I bring in and I am given the responsibility to take charge. This leaves me a large space to innovate and create and bring my ideas to the table, especially knowing that even if the ideas won't be considered they will be valued. None of this was possible at Hughes. I have personally seen my peers bring in ideas that were suppressed.
