Pros
There aren't really any pros. I am not saying this because I was downsized. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. The severance and unemployment and continued insurance was great.
Cons
While working there I thought I would be given opportunities to grow and move up in the company since I was college educated. I soon found out experience, being a conscientious worker, going above and beyond and caring about my job and my customers did not matter. I worked on extra projects but that was never acknowledged. I solved problems for my boss that no one else had the answers to. She took the credit and downsized me. She accidentally sent an instant message to me that should have went to someone else saying she was better than me at everything including working on the computer and that she was not impressed with me at all. I sent the message to HR but they said oh your name was not on it. I replied doesn't it bother you that someone in authority is talking horribly about her employees? They chose to ignore the comment. But in the mean time every time there was a problem that no one in the department could figure out she came to me and I was dumb enough to take care of it. I was sexually harassed while there which was ignored and told I was a butt kisser. I had a male employee play with himself while standing in front of my desk. I did not know what to do since I knew HR would not help me and he was friends with the management which is all that counts at Humana. You do NOT have to work if you have a friend in management. They will just pass your work to people like me.
