Pros

A large company with a lot of room to grow and advance. They have great work life balance a,s offer work from home in most areas and roles below executive roles.

Cons

Silos rule at Humana. Different departments may as well be different businesses, with each working more for their own self interest then the greater good for the company. It's also a "clicque" culture where it does not matter how good you are, you will not advance if you are not hanging with the right crowd. Most times, the hiring manager will have decided who's getting a role before they even post it as open, in the interview process is just a formality to keep compliant with HR. The company also struggles with corporate goals and values trickling down to individual departments. There is a lot of talking the talk, but not walking the walk in that regard.

Pros

The pay is well compared to what's out there and I've run into some middle managers that are really smart and know the work.

Cons

The company struggles to put the right talent at the decision-making table. That has led to the company moving fast but with no clear direction. Great potential if they'd focus on who knows the industry versus who appears to be producing outcomes.
