Pros

Hunter is committed to 100% customer satisfaction. From the very top, all the way through the management chain everyone is open, accessible and interested in opinions for the field. I can, and have, reached out to virtually every product manager, marketing manager and even the CEO with requests, issues and ideas, and have found an "open door" to my input.... a VERY valuable "perk" to a field sales rep directly answering to our contractor customers. Hunter has amazing programs and employment benefits, and for the last 12 years of employment, I can honestly say I have never had a moment to question any policies, actions, requests or procedures that I felt were not fair to either employees or our customers. Hunter is VERY forward thinking and in my opinion, has nowhere to go but "up" in the Irrigation Manufacturing Business. I work with an extremely seasoned, credentialed group of territory managers who not only know the business from the ground-up, but will jump in at any request for local support to cover an event, or support a situation that is out of my wheel-house. I am thrilled to write a recommendation for Hunter Industries, I enjoy working to support a product I believe in, AND has the support of every person in the management chain.

Pros

Develop resilience, seek better opportunities!

Cons

SO MANY that it cannot be covered in one page even. CEO is likable but the senior, mid-low level management are not so good. They however operate to the cadence of the CEO. I have seen so far in my professional career. No professional etiquette, no empathy for its employees, They don't want assertive and productive employees; they want people who are desperate for employment workers and low in confidence. Pay is below market. Incentive is even worst, Out of guilt, they offer an annual bonus that’s about 10% of compensation and is driven by company performance. To offset many inefficient processes and lost revenue, they hire and tolerate low skilled workers. Managers are inexperienced, highly non-cooperative and not supportive. Employees who have committed decades of service were harassed and forced to leave. Your career flounder because your job duties are not likely to translate well, unless you’re an engineer, or a warehouse worker. Work/life balance is affected by working for a terrible manager.
