Most teachers start at $11/hr, highest paid teachers make ~$22 - owners take about 84% of what test prep students pay. Teachers' hours are consistently cut without notice. My center had four full time staff members who would work on the tutoring floor and send teachers home. Franchise owners make a huge profit but refuse to give teachers raises, purchase new materials, and maintain their storefront/center.
