Pros
It was interesting to see how a supplemental education center worked. Some of the lower management were easy to work with.
Cons
Depending on the center you worked in, management could be really terrible and even condescending and rude at times. As a college student, was required to work 40 hours a week at $8/hr. Hard getting time off for any reason, even an hour or two to get to my summer night class. Even though it was supposed to be an "internship", I didn't feel that anyone cared to show me the ropes to the business or anything. I understand doing some low-end administrative work along with at least a few enriching experiences, but all I was given were the administrative tasks no one else wanted (like alphabetizing the bookshelf...). We would have to attend periodic orientations and internship meetings at the corporate office where they would spout off about what a great experience we were getting, but I definitely didn't experience that at all.
