Pros
The program itself works. Helping the children. Truly making a difference in their lives and seeing them flourish.
Cons
The owners are a ridiculous joke. They refuse to pay their employees properly- once a month and they are a month and a half behind. The department of labor has MULTIPLE current claims they are processing because of this and it is a consistent issue. They do not provide refunds to their customers and expect full time staff to lie to the parents about why. I was put in an extremely serious situation while in the center alone with a prior (male) parent because of the refusal to acknowledge their pleas for their refund, which left me visibly shaken and the bank next door sending their men employees to check on me, wanting to call the cops because they feared for my safety. There is absolutely 0 accountability or remorse, whatsoever. They refuse to buy office supplies as well as pay for a cleaning crew and expect staff to cover the expenses. Work hours are horrible, 12-15 hour days with very low pay (not to mention promised bonuses that never get paid), no benefits, they expect you to market several hours a day both in school and throughout the community using your own car/gas, with no reimbursement and then belittle you to the point of tears because the center doesn't produce enough revenue and they say it's your fault (not the fact that THEY have left an INCREDIBLY bad taste in the communities mouth). They are solely focused on the sale, not the child. They force parents to take out loans (10k+) and if the parents don't qualify, they harass them consistently and pressure them to ask grandparents, aunt/uncle, friends, etc to take out the loan. It's far worse than a car salesman. I could go on all day. Full time staff turnover is extremely high because of the blame consistently being pushed upon them for things beyond their control. The owners are money hungry and deflect every problem onto their staff. It's a very extreme form of abuse that is unfair to the ones who put their heart into the center and the children, not to mention the parents. It was heartbreaking for me to leave because of the kids but I have morals and truly believe in Karma. Corporate will not help in any way because this is a franchise, but they are ok with their name being severely tainted?!?! I'm not kidding when I say run, there is nothing good to say at all about any of the centers in NOVA.
