Pros

Liked my coworkers, no dress code, nice campus

Cons

Everything that matters, really. Terrible pay. Increasing demand for hours with no incentive. Moving some departments to salary &still demanding the same amount of overtime as a way of cutting costs. Management is a clique. They keep adding extra management positions that just make everyone else's jobs harder. There's no real career development. All the hype about this being a great place to work is a total marketing scam. They make a lot of effort to keep up appearances, doing constant spots on WKYC etc, but they don't actually do anything to back that up. Perks are there to keep you in the office. There is no work-life balance. They say you can take time off and take care of yourself, but they don't like it when you do. Work only 40 hours and they won't like you. Benefits are slipping. If you indicate you arent happy, you will not be treated well. Like most big companies, HR is not your friend. They're there to help the company and not the employees. They don't have a good remote environments. Any office outside westlake is an afterthought. I worked at the main office but worked with lots of remote employees who seemed to feel left out and disconnected. They don't trust their employees to let them work from home occassionally. For a tech company, they're super behind on the times for remote working and unwilling to adapt in that area. Basically, the corporate garbage is getting out of hand. Don't go into this job thinking it's got a fun "start up" atmosphere--it's just another big company that doesn't care about you beyond what money you can make for them. They can just replace you for the next cheapest resource. because of this, lots of issues arise because the really skilled workers all leave. Quality is dropping and tech support can't keep up with turnover. I left because I wasnt proud of working there & wasnt appreciated. I could get better pay almost anywhere else.

Pros

Work/life balance Great people to work with on daily basis Ability to work remote (US based) Plenty of development opportunities I've been given the tools I need to do my job and be innovative I have an amazing manager and team that I lead

Cons

I am restricted on where I can hire new employees right now. There are a lot of competing priorities with similar deadlines which can be stressful, but the days go by fast.

Pros

Remote or hybrid capability. Usually a flexible schedule.

Cons

Constant quiet firing. They've figured out how to avoid public disclosures quite well. Every month they're whacking batches of 20~30 employees - esp. if you were in a higher pay band or part of an acquired company. There's constant leadership churn as of late - not that leadership was ever that great, but the clownshow has more makeup on the pigs now. If you were part of an acquired company, the stench of nepotism was constant. Hyland doesn't provide legitimate training or certification assistance for everyone. Their products would fail any sort of security scan by an AI tool too. If you're a customer, buyer beware.
