Pros

They hire some very talented and driven people and it is an extreme pleasure to work with them. The solution is solid and they are committed to creating new solutions to need end-user needs.

Cons

They are hypocrites. They take pride in their core values by displaying them prominently on their walls and on employee name badges. Two out of the five are my relevant examples. #1 We conduct ourselves with honesty, integrity and fairness in our relationships with our partners, customers, employees and shareholders. This is extreme BS. They expect this from everyone except themselves. #2 Our employees are our family. This is literally true. This company if full of nepotism. If you do not have a blood connection somehow, they say this to make you feel good. But in fact if your definition of family is stabbing you in the back and undercutting you, then this is true. They are your family. They give this illusion of fun and what a great place to work by having slides in building, providing a diner and daycare as well as massages and haircuts. It all look great on the surface until you peel back this thin layer to see what they are really about. Don't expect any raises for a long time, if ever. I knew some very productive people that contributed a lot of revenue to this company and they did not give them a raise for over 4 years. Not even a cost of living adjustment. This is just one of many examples of how they don't take care of their employees. One other word of caution. If you are not in the "in crowd", your career there will most likely be short. How do you get in the "in crowd", good question, no one knows. And being in the "in crowd" has no guarantees. They have no problem "eating their own".

Pros

Remote or hybrid capability. Usually a flexible schedule.

Cons

Constant quiet firing. They've figured out how to avoid public disclosures quite well. Every month they're whacking batches of 20~30 employees - esp. if you were in a higher pay band or part of an acquired company. There's constant leadership churn as of late - not that leadership was ever that great, but the clownshow has more makeup on the pigs now. If you were part of an acquired company, the stench of nepotism was constant. Hyland doesn't provide legitimate training or certification assistance for everyone. Their products would fail any sort of security scan by an AI tool too. If you're a customer, buyer beware.
