Pros

Most people are great and it is an intuitive piece of software. The upper management has great vision and transparency to the average worker bee. I loved the coffee, Monday Meetings, and the parties. I also liked to be able to create things myself, and run with ideas.

Cons

"Nepotism is the showing of favoritism for relatives or friends based upon that relationship, rather than on an objective evaluation of ability or suitability, for instance by offering employment to a relative, despite the fact that there are others who are better qualified and willing and able to perform the job.", aka Hyland Software. At Hyland Software, the best way to get a job is to be related to someone at Hyland with preference to VP's. They will work you to your absolute breaking point, and then fire or "remove" you when they have found someone to replace you that costs them less. So keep your resume updated, it won't be long until you are out. Middle management up to VP's will steal from their own salespeople on high profile deals. So if you do have some good deals brewing, keep them to yourself until they are sold or else your manager or the VP will steal them from you and get the glory and comission from you. Also, your exit paycheck is shallow, so makee sure that you have enough banked away. It looks great from the outside, it IS NOT WORTH what it will do to you.

Pros

Remote or hybrid capability. Usually a flexible schedule.

Cons

Constant quiet firing. They've figured out how to avoid public disclosures quite well. Every month they're whacking batches of 20~30 employees - esp. if you were in a higher pay band or part of an acquired company. There's constant leadership churn as of late - not that leadership was ever that great, but the clownshow has more makeup on the pigs now. If you were part of an acquired company, the stench of nepotism was constant. Hyland doesn't provide legitimate training or certification assistance for everyone. Their products would fail any sort of security scan by an AI tool too. If you're a customer, buyer beware.
