Pros

1) The buildings, campus, and area are nice. 2) The people are generally ok. Even the ones that are ruining the company are ok when they arent doing workrelated things.

Cons

1) HR writes fake reviews to save the company rating here. 2) The development and devops neck of the woods at Hyland is awful. 3) Management has no idea what they are doing. Leadership is out of touch with everyone! 4) People who are generally incompetent and have no experience with tech outside of Hyland are in charge of decision making. 5) They give excessively fancy titles to people who dont deserve or even meet the requirements for the titles. 6) the entire security team left because of poor pay. They were reportedly replaced by people who lack required skills. basically, saving money is more important than the product security. 7) development processes are dictated by people who just play around and make decisions on a whim. Everything is chaotic, changes constantly, and causes nothing to get done. 8) everything devolved into something akin to high school grads/first year college students frantically googling how to do their project because they dont want to fail. 9) Fake it til you make it is the only career growth strategy.

Pros

Remote or hybrid capability. Usually a flexible schedule.

Cons

Constant quiet firing. They've figured out how to avoid public disclosures quite well. Every month they're whacking batches of 20~30 employees - esp. if you were in a higher pay band or part of an acquired company. There's constant leadership churn as of late - not that leadership was ever that great, but the clownshow has more makeup on the pigs now. If you were part of an acquired company, the stench of nepotism was constant. Hyland doesn't provide legitimate training or certification assistance for everyone. Their products would fail any sort of security scan by an AI tool too. If you're a customer, buyer beware.
