Pros
- Work from home -- thanks to the pandemic. - Can get away without working hard and doing 'busy work' - Onsite perks if you are in Westlake, OH
Cons
- The pay is poor and equity sharing is unheard of for a company whose CEO every Monday keeps talking about the fact this is a "big happy family". - Hyland is stuck in the '90s with multiple levels of management, processes, and approvals. You have to be based in Ohio and 'manage up' to get anywhere. Most of the C-Suite are incompetent and are around because they are a part of the 'old boys club'. - Hyland is a dumping ground for companies bought by Thoma Bravo. The management team has no clue of what to do with the technology and talent they have acquired and is slowly killing them. - Product management is a joke and has no clear future direction for the products from acquired companies. The direction changes every few weeks and the company is still struggling to run its solutions on the public cloud. - The Healthcare business unit operates as a company within a company and opportunities to grow are very limited if you are not in the inner circle.
