Pros

Free candy dispensers in HR. Great people at the lower levels. Various onsite perks. Located in a pleasant area.

Cons

Conformity is the key to success. They ask for your honesty but don’t want to hear it. Anything other than praise and sunshine is taken as an unhappy non-team player attitude. I’ve seen good, hard working employees leave or be cast out because they didn’t play “the game”, while slacker do-nothings kick back and snooze because they’ve managed to frost their nose with the proper shade of brown. Sure, ‘honesty and integrity’ are painted on the wall, but the definitions have been lost. Try: favoritism, nepotism, hypocrisy, conformity and vindictiveness. They’re great to say one thing, then do the opposite. Many people advance within the companyt because of who they know or are related to. As the company grows, their poor treatment of employees has come back on them in various forms, such as a failing reputation, some of which are displayed in these reviews. If you are a career-minded person looking for advancement based on performance, rather than who you know or have managed to kiss up to, look elsewhere. Once the recession lifts, I expect there will be a line at the Exit.

Pros

Remote or hybrid capability. Usually a flexible schedule.

Cons

Constant quiet firing. They've figured out how to avoid public disclosures quite well. Every month they're whacking batches of 20~30 employees - esp. if you were in a higher pay band or part of an acquired company. There's constant leadership churn as of late - not that leadership was ever that great, but the clownshow has more makeup on the pigs now. If you were part of an acquired company, the stench of nepotism was constant. Hyland doesn't provide legitimate training or certification assistance for everyone. Their products would fail any sort of security scan by an AI tool too. If you're a customer, buyer beware.
