      Pros

      Some good people, the decaying remains of a potentially decent corporate culture.

      Cons

      Company has gone downhill since being purchased by Thoma Bravo, 2021 mass layoffs, all of the benefits (Christmas party and different seasonal events, all whittled down more and more each year), all of the things that made this company different or good have been stripped, sold, and left the building. Cloud based hosting routinely had issues where they weren't even hosting their own software on appropriate VMs, pitting support and customers against their cloud services teams.

      Work/life balance Great people to work with on daily basis Ability to work remote (US based) Plenty of development opportunities I've been given the tools I need to do my job and be innovative I have an amazing manager and team that I lead

      Cons

      I am restricted on where I can hire new employees right now. There are a lot of competing priorities with similar deadlines which can be stressful, but the days go by fast.

      Pros

      Remote or hybrid capability. Usually a flexible schedule.

      Cons

      Constant quiet firing. They've figured out how to avoid public disclosures quite well. Every month they're whacking batches of 20~30 employees - esp. if you were in a higher pay band or part of an acquired company. There's constant leadership churn as of late - not that leadership was ever that great, but the clownshow has more makeup on the pigs now. If you were part of an acquired company, the stench of nepotism was constant. Hyland doesn't provide legitimate training or certification assistance for everyone. Their products would fail any sort of security scan by an AI tool too. If you're a customer, buyer beware.
