- No room for professional development. When you are hired, they put on a show on how important personal and professional growth means to them. At the end of the day, if the budget doesn't allow it, (which 9/10 times it will not), you will not be promoted.
- People are hired with less experience and education then minorities and are placed in higher levels. When you confront ICF regarding their unequal pay situation, they brush it off and insult their employees on their experience
- You are expected to work more than 40 hours to be considered an exemplary employee
- If you are of a certain age, they expect you to not know things, despite you having more experience then your peers
- Their "raises" are less then the federal living wage raise. They provide urban city employees a small 2% raise and are flustered when you are not happy about it.
- They expect you to keep up with their false professional development opportunities
- Senior Management has no control over salary, benefits, or promotions. So, your work ethic is not evaluated on whether or not you receive a promotion
- There are other reviews in regards to racial discrimination, and they are true. The CEO is a minority, but most of ICF employees that are promoted and invested on are white. They expect you to be happy, as you are being hired help fulfill their minority requirement on a proposal.
- On a proposal they will charge 3x your salary, do NOT expect to get paid in overtime or in vacation hours (which is against DOL laws)
I am waiting for one more meeting with senior management before I put in a complaint with the Department of Labor for ICF negligence.
