Pros

ICF is a great, secure company to work for depending on the department and management. They offer great benefits despite the pay not being competitive for the Washington DC area. There are two locations in MD and VA and they allow for weekly telecommuting. They also offer reimbursement for higher education and certain job related trainings.

Cons

ICF is a very large company but the salaries are low compared to the DC area. The expectations from management are unrealistic and too high without offering rewards such as bonuses or time off. The company in general holds an extremely toxic environment with little to no growth opportunities. Staff are under appreciated while not being challenged, management is under trained, and the work/life balance is non existent. Happiness does not exist within working hours which makes it not surprising to see how much turn around there is within the company.

Dear former employee, thank you for your feedback. We have compared our total rewards packages to other employers in the industry, and while not above average, they are fair, especially when all pieces of the package are taken into account. We have also recently increased focus on the development of manager capabilities. We are sorry to hear about your personal experience with your leaders and work environment.

People, Mission, Culture, Technology, Remote. You work on projects and technologies that actually impact and improves the day to day lives of people around you, the community and the Country

Cons

Pay, No much room for upward mobility. If you are a high performer, you'll struggle as the structure rewards years spent in the company vs level of expertise or experience.
