Pros

Opportunities to learn from and work with extremely intelligent people who really care about the work that they're doing. Learning opportunities through ICF, LinkedIn learning, and other opportunities. Flexible work from home opportunities.

Cons

Depending on the project you work on, the team dynamic can either be really supportive or very toxic. Frustrating trying to get on a project with consistent work where you won't be micromanaged. There is no negotiating pay increases. Notorious for underpaying. I have a Masters in a relevant field as well as several years of work experience and yet my salary is only slightly higher than that of colleagues straight out of undergrad. Make sure you negotiate a higher salary than what they offer when you are offered the position.

Cons

Pay, No much room for upward mobility. If you are a high performer, you'll struggle as the structure rewards years spent in the company vs level of expertise or experience.
