Pros
Most leaders seem to be progressive, open minded and well connected to their teams and their customers. Multiple (and widely varied) lines of business mean there is always something new to learn.
Cons
There was a lot of 'box checking' and 'administrivia' in my department that was used as a way to ensure compliance with processes and manage metrics, but the effect was to detract from the focus on quality and decrease morale in an overworked team.
