Pros

I had two great supervisors during my time at ICF, and when a project (on which I was full time) ended unexpectedly, they were nimble and quick to move me to a new role. They value their staff, and try to find the right ways to keep valuable staff. Benefits are good, and their starting salary was higher than most comparable firms.

Cons

I felt little to no connection to the firm itself, since I was based out of project offices (rather than being in a corporate office). While there are opportunities to get involved in new business development and such, I felt very distant from the larger organization and didn't have a good understanding of what my advancement opportunities were outside of my project.

Pros

People, Mission, Culture, Technology, Remote. You work on projects and technologies that actually impact and improves the day to day lives of people around you, the community and the Country

Cons

Pay, No much room for upward mobility. If you are a high performer, you'll struggle as the structure rewards years spent in the company vs level of expertise or experience.
