Pros

ICF is very missions driven - all of my projects are about doing something to improve the world we live in.

Cons

If you want to develop a new skill, you’re on your own. They only want you to work on projects that have awarded contracts. You will get as much work as you can handle unless you say no and advocate for yourself, so it is easy to get overwhelmed. There were not any technical subject matter experts for me to learn from.

Thank you for sharing your review and that you connect with ICF's purpose to build a more prosperous and resilient world for all. There are a lot of ways to develop new skills at ICF from self-paced and instructor-led trainings to ideas on how to learn on the job in the Experiential Learning Guide. You should feel enabled to come forward to your manager to discuss the skills you'd like to build as well as to address your work life balance needs. Your manager should help you balance and prioritize certain projects over others to avoid feeling overwhelmed. If you feel this does not resolve your issue, please reach out to your HR business partner to further discuss this. --- LL
