Pros

Work from home and the flexible schedule

Cons

There is a lack of communication between management and junior staff resulting in work overload and frustration. Employees are expected to work overtime with no notice. Typically, we had to wait on management for weeks to get back to us with revisions and when they finally did, they expected us to fix it immediately while they took way too long. ICF is not well known. I had to constantly explain what ICF does and when people asked what ICF stands for, I had to explain that it does not stand for anything anymore. The projects we work on take too long and both clients and staff do not see the importance in our work. The turnover rate is very high here. For a for-profit, the benefits are not great.

Pros

People, Mission, Culture, Technology, Remote. You work on projects and technologies that actually impact and improves the day to day lives of people around you, the community and the Country

Cons

Pay, No much room for upward mobility. If you are a high performer, you'll struggle as the structure rewards years spent in the company vs level of expertise or experience.
