There is a disparity between expectations and of managers and their staff. Some mangers have staff that are complacent do nothings, while others push their staff, sometimes relentlessly. Many of the manager, both mid level and senior mangers need a management 1010 course, and others are control maniacs. Add in the fact that the board is made up of volunteers adds a level of organizational complexity that slows everything down. It’s a wonder we get any real work done. The good news is that the products and services are of value. So – there is hope?
