Pros

I worked as an Associate Scientist and overall had a positive experience. The role offered strong exposure to advanced scientific techniques and a fast-paced research environment. I had the opportunity to develop hands-on skills, particularly in data analysis and experimental design, and to work alongside knowledgeable and supportive colleagues. The team culture was generally collaborative, and there was a strong emphasis on scientific rigor and quality. For someone early in their scientific career, this position provides a good foundation and valuable industry experience.

Cons

Workload can sometimes be heavy with tight deadlines, which may lead to periods of high stress. Depending on the team, communication around priorities and long-term project direction could be improved. Career progression opportunities exist but may feel limited or slow without proactive self-advocacy. Some processes can also feel overly rigid or bureaucratic at times.

Pros

Remote work option is nice to have

Cons

Zero support from management, with employee development and team concerns often taking a back seat to other priorities. Morale continues to go downhill, and several colleagues exploring opportunities elsewhere or leaving the organization already. The culture is challenging, particularly around providing candid feedback, as employees often are tracker down and face negative repercussions and retaliations. Career advancement depends more on aligning with leadership preferences than on merit and performance. Would not recommend this company to those seeking a supportive environment with transparent growth opportunities. Overall, the culture is political and difficult to navigate.
