Pros

Discretionary leave is the only thing good about this company

Cons

Working at Quintiles was great. It was a big company that still valued employees and put people first. Then along came IMS to "merge" with Quintiles. That, my friends, was an acquisition, because IMS held the majority of the stock. The new company, IQVIA, is a complete 180 from what Quintiles was. People no longer matter here. The bottom line is what it is all about. For example, the health insurance was changed a couple of years ago, and senior management tried to sell it as employees wanting and supporting this change. Not true. We're paying much more out of pocket in premiums for far less coverage. Forget promotions or decent raises,. Those are rare. Bonuses? Miniscule. Work life balance? They like to tell you it's there, but try asking to use your discretionary leave for more than a week off, and they act like you're asking them to cut off an arm. It's all about talk here, no action to back up that talk.

Pros

Remote work option is nice to have

Cons

Zero support from management, with employee development and team concerns often taking a back seat to other priorities. Morale continues to go downhill, and several colleagues exploring opportunities elsewhere or leaving the organization already. The culture is challenging, particularly around providing candid feedback, as employees often are tracker down and face negative repercussions and retaliations. Career advancement depends more on aligning with leadership preferences than on merit and performance. Would not recommend this company to those seeking a supportive environment with transparent growth opportunities. Overall, the culture is political and difficult to navigate.
