Pros

Great hours. Plenty of Flexibility to take vacation without issues from managers and reviewers. Interesting subject areas and cases.

Cons

Bureaucracy. All the negatives you associate with bureaucracy. It's tough to push things through. Sometimes things need to be cleared with many different levels, even relatively simple and mundane decisions.

Pros

It's lost a lot of the perks that drew me in the first place. The floor level people are very supportive of one another. But that's human nature.

Cons

The management is, in a reciprocation of the trope, an 'old girls club.' The criteria for those that want to get in is to 'not be threatening or easily controlled'. Everyone else is either forced out through the coordinated gatekeeping of the club, or waited out as most of the management is a temporary assignment. For the past two years I've been promised help and guidance, and I receive none. It's hard to be willing to help on special assignments when I'm punished for doing them in the first place.
