Pros

Great salary, and great benefits including free Uber rides. They also do a good job of getting you comfortable with your team and different divisions within the company.

Cons

There's a long list of cons, but the biggest one is poor management. ISN hires everyone in the business side straight out of college. They have a high turnover rate so if you stick it out for 4 or 5 years you are essentially made a supervisor by default. New supervisors are given very minimal training and development. Although there are good supervisors at ISN, the majority of supervisors are prone to micromanage and have no trust in their employees (even if you've worked under them for months and have strong performance reviews). Supervisors often times behave very unprofessionally and irresponsibly. I once had a supervisor tell me how they were extremely hungover during one of my performance reviews and how they were just trying to get it over with. Employees are also given no way to provide feedback on your supervisor or how you are managed. I feel this is a major problem as almost every supervisor I had was a first time supervisor and yet never asked for my feedback on how they were doing. Everything at ISN is done by the book with a template mindset (cookie cutter approach). People will often assume something is wrong if it's not done how it was completed previously. This leads to a lack of critical thinking by employees and a lot of nit picky non-constructive feedback. Performance reviews are purely subjective. No metrics are looked at when evaluating your performance. The phrase "play the game" is constantly used. Promotions and new opportunities are given to employees that are well liked. Non-management level employees at ISN are not valued. In my time at ISN I almost never once felt like my supervisor or the company truly cared about me, my career and my ambitions. When I left the company I was not given an exit interview and my bosses didn't even ask me where I was going to work next.

Pros

They invest so much in their employees and their growth, but they support every single person they hire. Also, the culture is great, work may be hard, but the people you do it with are all amazing.

Cons

Competitive interview and High Expectations

Pros

- Lots of people your age. Easy way to make friends post grad - Great pay and benefits - Free lunches - FANTASTIC training team!!

Cons

- Extremely high turnover due to burnout and unrealistic expectations - Work life balance is very dependent on your team and supervisor. I was lucky to have a great team, but spent some late nights. Other teams work long hours and have a significantly higher work load. - Travel opportunities are great, but sometimes it can be too frequent and you can't really say no. - Lots of ways to give feedback, but it is not anonymous. If you say something negative in feedback, it would be used against you. - It is very hard to get promoted past senior Associate due to the limited amount of promotions available. I know several people who were told they would get a promotion and did not. - Lots of happy hours - if you didn't go, you were lame
