Pros
Great employee recognition programs/practices (Manager of the quarter, employee of the quarter, Blackman Bucks Auctions, CEO emails the entire company if you receive a positive email from a client) Very structured work environment: all of your expected daily/weekly/monthly tasks have well-written procedures to use as an on-demand reference when needed. Understanding and personable upper management, the CEO and his team makes themselves readily available to employees and clients to help with any issues. Great opportunities to promote within the company: on the front page of suite, they show all the employees who recently got promoted within the company, it's nice and empowering to see things like that. It makes you feel like working hard will get you promoted. Raises at IST are performance based; you get what you put in. If you update/create a current procedure you earn a 10$ bonus.
Cons
While IST is a good company to work for, your happiness at work is partly dependent on who your client is. Some clients are great and understanding, some are over demanding and obtuse. IST is a bit behind when it comes to holidays; at the time of writing this review there are 11 federal holidays and IST only has 7 holidays. If your client recognizes all 11, then you have to use PTO days, go to another site that is open, or take unpaid time. The benefits at IST are a bit lackluster; even if you pay decently for medical benefits, you're still left paying a lot out of pocket to meet deductibles. You absolutely need to be able to multi-task while working for IST. While working for IST you have 2 workloads; whatever your client expects out of you, and a lot of backend work that IST needs to generate reports.
