You get to work on really helpful products for the medical industry, or are a contracting developer for external clients. The people are really friendly when the environment is calm.
Cons
The environment is rarely calm. Poor project management leads to a project timeline to delay for over a year, causing panic among upper management and extremely high stress levels for entry level developers thrown to the fire.
