Ouch. This review really stings. We have been working hard to build a high-performance culture balanced with care for the individual. The standards of performance and accountability have been changing at the organization, with reps having quotas for the first time in the past couple of years. This means that there are people not used to being held accountable for the success of the team. We have also added different perks and benefits to provide support to the employees and their families. As for “buddies,” referrals are an important part of a hiring strategy at many companies, including ours, but that doesn’t mean that we intend to create a clique. If there are truly folks struggling with substances or other challenges, we hope that they are aware of the available benefits and resources we provide and urge them to reach out to the HR team for assistance. We need to support each other through challenges, not use them as one-line zingers. Being at an organization for awhile and then watching it change in ways that don’t suit you, can be hard. If the environment doesn’t feel good to you, we urge you to contact the HR team or the CEO directly to discuss your concerns. And if that doesn’t help, it may be time to find another role – either internally or externally. Life is too short to be unhappy in a culture that isn’t a fit and resort to a review online.
